Rio Viejo has a very traditional, casual ambiance.

It's set in a renovated hacienda and guests dine in a lush courtyard.

The menu ranges from traditional items like Aztec Soup (tortilla soup) to more modern items like tiradito a'tun (tuna sashimi).

There are also a good variety of tacos, like blue crab and pork shank. They’re presented in a way that promotes sharing, which I like.

Additionally, the full-service bar and atmosphere calls for a great long lunch. This spot in Guadalajara will take you away from the urban grind of the city.
